Default Air Water ele?

im building a air water ele atm more points in water then in air for some reasons hehe

dunno what skills this is my current build
1. ice spikes
2. lightning touch
3. shard storm
4. lightning orb
5. armour of frost
6. mind shock
7. aura of restoration
8. rez signet

the point is to first use ice spikes and after that lighning touch cast armour of frost after that to keep those pesky warriors at bay us shard storm and lightning touch againg rinse and repeat use mind shock when you need a knockdown and the rest speaks for his own anny suggestions to make it even better?

My two cents:
A domination mesmer would totally own that build, like mine. =)

i usually dont bring res, since i dont think its the mages job to res ppl, and i think water triden would be better so you could really annoy those warriors

Congratulations. Rock really does beat scissors. You once again contribute nothing but self-aggrandizement to a thread. Saying a Domination mesmer will destroy a caster build is like telling people water is wet.

That said, Lightning Touch is terrible as for as Air skills go and not worth using even though it comboes with the water hexes. Armor of Mist is better than Armor of Frost. I would recommend a better elite than Mind Shock (At least its not Mind Freeze, though) (Ie, Elemental Attunement). Orb is always solid.

Basically, though, there's almost no point in using a Water Ele except for Ward Against Harm the way things are now since Nature's Renewal destroys the entire skill line (1 skill > Entire skill line = balance?).

Just bear in mind, though, Water Eles aren't meant to do damage. They're tactical in nature. They tend to run at cross purposes to Air Eles for that reason.

Lightning touch is trash on a primary ele. Now, if you had a team built around it with say, you being a water ele with a W/E using conjure lightning and lightning touch, that might be something.

I disagree with not carrying a res signet. Monks are usually the first to go down... as an ele, you can spare 3 seconds to res him. Not really the case with warriors or rangers.

I just find it sad when eles are able to beat domination mesmers. That situation goes out the window with unrestricted healing though. The same usually cant be said for eles versus interupt rangers. Drain builds in both instances dont really hurt a ele, unless the fight is prolonged, but most ele build options do not mix very well in a long fight.

You need attunements to keep your energy up. I recommend Elemental Attunement because it affects both of your elements. Then again, it'll be owned by NR.

I have had more succsess with water/Curses(Necro) than Water/anything else. Monk protector, warriors cant hit shit and trident is really funny when you slow them down.

Water/Air is not working for me...:\

That's what kept me from suggesting Elemental Attunement myself. Isn't it just wonderful how one skill removes around 100 as build options? And I'm a Ranger player saying this, heh.
